This internship provides hands-on experience in process improvement, production support, quality control, and engineering documentation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with engineers, technicians, and production personnel to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist manufacturing engineers with daily production and process improvement activities
- Support development and maintenance of work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for manufacturing issues
- Help implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support equipment setup, troubleshooting, and validation activities
- Assist with time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to improve product quality and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate engineering records, reports, and project documentation
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
- Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with CAD software and lean manufacturing concepts is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience with data analysis and process improvement tools
- Basic understanding of quality systems and manufacturing metrics
- Hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing operations
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering and production teams
