The opportunity
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a seasonal Waybound Laborer to join our team at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite in Fish Camp, California. We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and service-oriented Waybound Laborer to support the appearance, cleanliness, and transportation needs of the property. This versatile position is responsible for maintaining landscaped areas, ensuring public spaces are clean and welcoming, and safely transporting guests.

Pay
$17.00 – $18.00 / hour

What will you do?
- Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of grounds, landscaped areas, walkways, parking lots, and outdoor guest spaces.
- Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, snow removal, debris removal, and seasonal property upkeep.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain public areas throughout the resort, including restrooms, dining venue, and other guest-facing facilities.
- Ensure public areas are properly stocked, presentable, and maintained to established Waybound Yosemite standards.
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, cleaning equipment, company vehicles, and assigned tools.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation between Waybound Yosemite and Tenaya Lodge for guests, including conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining transportation records.
- Deliver exceptional guest and employee service by responding professionally to requests, communicating effectively, and supporting Delaware North’s GuestPath® and GreenPath® initiatives.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, equipment issues, and operational deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Follow all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Maintain dependable attendance, a professional appearance, and flexibility to support operational needs across departments.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards.
- Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with coworkers and guests.
- A high level of concentration and attention to detail is required.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work to meet deadlines and make decisions regarding correct formatting of work.
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Hospitality and Customer Service experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Physical requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 85 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate landscaping equipment, cleaning equipment, hand tools, and shuttle vehicles safely and effectively.
- Ability to use ladders, step stools, and perform a variety of indoor and outdoor manual labor tasks.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a shuttle vehicle.
- Visual acuity sufficient to safely operate vehicles and equipment, observe surroundings, read work orders, inspection reports, schedules, vehicle documentation, and other operational records.
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout a shift and assist passengers as needed.
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including sun, rain, snow, wind, ice, heat, and cold temperatures.
- Ability to work on uneven terrain, hills, slopes, and other mountain environments common to the resort setting.
- Ability to maintain a high level of alertness, concentration, and situational awareness while operating vehicles, equipment, and performing assigned duties safely.
