Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the Property Manager, the Property Clerk coordinates, tracks, records, tags, receives, distributes, replaces, disposes and coordinates repair of assets to ensure proper accountability and recordkeeping. The Property Clerk maintains and updates database and software to ensure asset control and to generate and compile reports related to fleet vehicles, tractors, property, infrastructure and leased/rented equipment, tractor hour usage and actuary data related to insurance claims submitted to the online database system.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of (3) Years of Personal Property Book Experience working in an DoD Accountable Property Database/System (DPAS/GCSS-ARMY), Associates of Arts Degree, and (active) CLASS C Driver’s License
OR
- Minimum of (5) Years of Personal Property Book Experience working in an DoD Accountable Property Database/System (DPAS/GCSS-ARMY), High School Diploma/GED, and (active) CLASS C Driver’s License
OR
- Served in the US Military and retained a Logistics – Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in a related capacity for a Minimum of (4) Years, and (active) CLASS C Driver’s License
Physical Requirements: Primarily Stationary; The work environment occurs primarily in an office setting (75%) of the time. The Clerk is required to perform on-site property existence validation inspections (25%) of the time that can occur from an office, warehouse, or lab setting and could require both bending and standing positions.
General Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for conducting various tasks to include updating information, verifying information, communicating with customers, generating reports, releasing or the transfer of property, and maintain records in a property accountable system.
- Follow directions from Supervisor and Government Leadership while also able to work independently and as part of a team and adhere to policies.
- Perform database entry and maintain records for accountability and to an audit standard.
- Know and understand ARMY property regulation.
- Verify and reconcile fixed assets by physically locating and identifying assets at various locations across the Center to ensure accountability.
- Support excellence in customer service and deliver excellent customer service both to internal and external customer while having the ability to work collaboratively to build professional working relationships with colleagues, P
- Perform annual property/asset inventories of customers and track those received through an internal process.
- Identify safety concerns to Supervisor and other required stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining accurate files and provide documentation to Government Lead when requested.
- Provide and assist with required monthly data to Supervisor for a monthly report/tracking matrix of all property matters.
- Make sure that all administrative functions/paperwork is in order relative to receipt documentation, work orders, or internal paperwork are accomplished on time and in the required format.
- BE responsible for maintaining a clean and safe worksite while performing or conducting job duties and be attentive to detail.
- Support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the US ARMY.

Pay: $24.30 - $29.66 per hour
