About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer with a strong background in user-centered design, research, and enterprise application modernization.

This position supports the design and improvement of digital services, healthcare applications, and public-sector enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate combines strong visual and interaction design skills with the ability to conduct user research, understand business processes, and translate complex workflows into intuitive, accessible digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces for enterprise applications and digital services.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, research activities, and stakeholder workshops.
• Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, user journeys, process flows, and visual design concepts.
• Use Figma or comparable design tools to create and communicate UX/UI solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Analyze user feedback and identify opportunities to improve digital services and operational workflows.
• Support human-centered design and service design activities across complex business processes.
• Ensure designs support Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Help establish UX performance metrics and evaluate usability improvements.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in user experience and service design.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; 5 years of equivalent related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience planning or facilitating stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, or other interactive research activities to determine business and user needs.
• Demonstrated experience developing user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user-centered design deliverables.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Baltimore approximately 40–65% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Figma, including wireframing, high-fidelity prototyping, and design systems.
• Experience designing enterprise portals, healthcare applications, or case management systems.
• Knowledge of user research, service blueprints, journey mapping, and design thinking.
• Experience with Agile software development teams.
• Familiarity with Section 508/WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Experience supporting government, healthcare, or large enterprise modernization programs.
