OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We seek a versatile and motivated individual with verifiable experience in residential property management, strong communication skills, and expertise in sales and customer service. The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations within the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Leasing experience required
- Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and writing)
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, internet, and email)
- Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a full background check and drug screening
EXPERIENCE:
- Customer service: 2 years (Required)
- Property leasing: 2 years (Preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and qualify all prospects
- Demonstrate the community in a compelling and knowledgeable manner to prospects; close the sale
- Have prospects complete applications and secure deposits per company procedures and Fair Housing requirements
- Receive and record all communication and interactions from residents and prospects
- Address resident requests, concerns, and comments
- Update availability report
- Assist in monitoring renewals, distribute and follow-up on renewal notices
- Accept rental payments
- Compose and post resident notices (e.g., late rent, lease violations)
- Inspect models and available units
- Communicate service needs to Property Manager and Maintenance to ensure units are ready for move-in
- Enter maintenance service requests and inform the maintenance team promptly
- Answer residents' questions about the community, repairs, rent, rules, etc., and follow up if unable to respond immediately
- Contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community
- Assist in planning and executing resident events
- Conduct market surveys and shop competitive communities
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, ADA, and all other relevant laws
- Manage compliance file maintenance under the direction of the Compliance Department and Property Manager, where applicable
