Responsibilities

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness in real-time documentation
• Assist healthcare providers by capturing vital signs, medical histories, and current symptoms efficiently
• Navigate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input and organize patient data securely
• Maintain precise medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
• Support the management of medical records by organizing files and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret provider instructions
• Collaborate with medical teams during emergency room or urgent care shifts to document critical patient information swiftly and accurately

Requirements

• Prior experience in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe is highly preferred
• Strong transcription skills with excellent attention to detail and typing speed
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in clinical environments
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and general medical records management
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics
• Excellent communication skills to accurately interpret provider instructions and clarify information when needed
• Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a career in healthcare fields such as medicine, nursing, or physician assistant studies; ideal for pre-health students or those taking a gap year
