Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. This clinic provides care for dogs and cats, as well as a growing exotic caseload including reptiles, birds, and pocket pets, offering a collaborative and supportive environment for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, Wednesday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with Sunday closed. The role is full-time, structured as a four-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts and no on-call or after-hours requirements.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The position involves delivering high-quality care across a mix of wellness, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental cases. Responsibilities include managing appointments, performing soft tissue surgery and dentistry, and supporting a varied caseload that includes both small animals and some exotics. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available and a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, and client education.
Practice Details
This is an AAHA-accredited hospital with a modern, well-equipped facility designed to support high-quality medicine and efficient workflows. The clinic includes six exam rooms, a large treatment area, a dedicated surgery suite, and dental facilities with two wet tables. Equipment includes digital radiology, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, and an in-house IDEXX laboratory, alongside a paperless system and AI-supported documentation tools. Services include preventive care, diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and exotic pet care, with additional support from visiting specialists for advanced procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy, and echocardiography. The practice fosters a collaborative, team-oriented culture with a strong focus on patient care and client relationships.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by certified veterinary technicians and a dedicated support team. The environment is highly collaborative, with multiple doctors working together throughout the day to share knowledge, consult on cases, and support each other in delivering high-quality veterinary care.
