General Manufacturing Production Rates range from $21.13 to $22.13/hourly
Qualifications:
What You’ll Do:
- Primarily responsible for putting a roll of borders (mattress sidewall cloth) on a spindle for a cutting machine. The rolls are 25-50 lbs. Handles are loaded to feed shuts at the top of the machine. The operator enters the production number on a touch screen and the machine attach handles and cuts the border to length. The operator will then sew the border closed and move to a storage cart.
- Requires continuous walking short distances within the workstation. Ability to be flexible to the demands of the shift, including overtime; frequent repetitive use of hands/arms while loading the/ machine, entering product numbers, and operating the sewing machine; occasional: bending over while moving border rolls; overhead reaching while loading machine with components; pushing and pulling of rolls of borders; repetitive use of one foot to operate the sewing machine; grasping of border edges, paperwork, and scissors while closing the border; lifting and carrying of border rolls weighing up to 50lbs; and fine manipulation required to adjust the machine.

Ability to perform within a fast paced, team environment to maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production goals.
- May collaborate with a team to achieve organizational goals.
- Maintain and sustain a clean area/environment.
- Perform quality inspections at every step in the process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
What You’ll Need:
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a standing position for a minimum 8 hours or more per shift.
- Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, pushing, bending, etc. in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attendance—must be reliable and punctual.
- Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
