What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Bartender position at Tempo Kitchen & Bar?
The Head Bartender will use hands-on leadership to ensure bar staff provide consistent service to each customer. Lead by example interacting with bar staff and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Work standard Bartender shifts as scheduled
- Help oversee drink and bar planning for special events
- Assist determining bar employees' schedules
- Appropriately delegates tasks to bar staff.
- Ensure all bartender checks are closed and guest billing is accurate
- Advertise the daily, weekly, and monthly promotions of the bar
- Ensure staff is following all food control and safety regulations
- Initiates and helps maintains vendor relationships
- Helps select and purchases liquor and other supplies, making sure bar is well-stocked and clean
- Assist in recommending performance improvement plan or termination
- Point-of-sale lead for bar staff
