Cashier – The Garden Restaurant

$17.00-$18.00/hr | Upscale Casual Dining | Downtown Salt Lake City

Located inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, our restaurants and event spaces offer unforgettable dining and event experiences in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah.

From upscale dining at The Roof Restaurant overlooking the Salt Lake Valley to elegant banquets and celebrations, our team delivers exceptional hospitality, outstanding food, and memorable guest experiences.

We’re looking for friendly, detail-oriented professionals who take pride in guest service and want to contribute to a team known for excellence.

Part-time | 10–20 hours/week | 2–4 shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, professional first impression
• Accurately process transactions using POS systems, including cash, credit, and mobile payments
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, pricing, and daily offerings
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier stations, dining areas, and service counters
• Assist with food and beverage running, stocking, and light prep as needed
• Handle guest concerns or issues with professionalism and escalate when appropriate
• Support team members during peak service times to maintain smooth operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Previous cashier, customer service, or restaurant experience preferred

Job Environment/Other Job Requirements

• May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies
• Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management

Compensation

• $17.00 - $18.00/hr. This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
