The temple offers a unique early childhood experience at the Temple Sholom Selma Maisel Nursery School and an interactive approach to religious education for Pre-K through 7th grade at the Temple Sholom Learning Center. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Jewish Programming and Events Manager, located in Greenwich, CT. The Jewish Programming and Events Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing a wide range of cultural, educational, and social programs and events for the congregation. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating logistics, managing budgets, collaborating with staff and volunteers, marketing events, and ensuring successful program execution. The role involves working closely with various departments, volunteer committees and managing the event timeline and activities on the day of the event. Must be able to multi-task, thrive on meeting deadlines and enjoy that no two days will be exactly the same.
Qualifications
- Event planning, coordination, and execution skills
- Experience with budgeting, marketing, and promotional activities
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships within a community
- Knowledge of Jewish traditions, holidays, and cultural practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Communications, Jewish Studies, or a related field or related experience.
- Experience in a religious or non-profit setting is a plus
