Role Description This part-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role is based at Temple Memorial Pediatric Center in Texarkana, TX. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric clients using standardized assessments and clinical observations. The role includes developing individualized treatment plans, delivering one-on-one and small group therapy, and monitoring progress toward functional communication goals. The clinician will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other therapy disciplines to ensure cohesive, family-centered care and provide education for carryover in home and community settings. Documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes is required in accordance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Speech Therapy and management of Speech and Language Disorders.
- Experience assessing and treating Communication Disorders across a pediatric population.
- Knowledge and clinical skills in evaluating and managing Dysphagia in children.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas and CCC-SLP preferred.
- Experience in pediatric settings (clinic, school, or hospital) and familiarity with evidence-based practice.
- Strong interpersonal, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team.
