What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Precertification position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
Responsible for the daily operations of the PreCertification department. Directs the daily activities of staff performing authorizations for designated hospital service and other related staff in support of the patient access revenue cycle functions. Prepares reports, statistical summaries, time studies and quality control audits using current available technology. Provides assistance and training to staff as needed. Works closely with multiple hospital departments, as well as Revenue Cycle Leadership. Focuses closely on account financial security and payer denial avoidance.
Education
Associate's Degree in a related health care field Required or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience
3 years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment. Required
General Experience with and knowledge of insurance authorization/precertification
Requirements, Referral, Insurance Verification And 3rd Party Billing Required
2 years experience in Oncology Precertification or Patient Access, preferably in an
Oncology Program Preferred
