What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthopedic Medical Assistant (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Faculty Physicians position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
Supports an orthopaedic surgeon in outpatient offices and clinics and interacting with medical assistants, athletic trainers, physician assistants, physicians, and other support staff. Follows patient from arrival to departure to ensure patient and provider needs met for best experience. Prepares for visits, vitals/rooming, approvals as needed. Assists in scheduling procedures / surgeries as needed in office and in OR/procedure suite. Assists in regulatory readiness, inventory, stocking, etc.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience
1 year of orthopedic experience in a healthcare setting Required
Licenses
Basic Life Support Required
Certified Medical Assistant Required or
Cert Clin Medical Assistant Required or
Registered Medical Assistant Required or
Ortho Tech Certified Required
Education
