Assists the physician in the administration of nursing care to patients within the physician's office/clinic. Assists in maintaining a sanitary and safe environment which is conducive to enhancing the therapeutic plan of care. These duties include assisting patient in the examination room, proper handling of soiled linen, proper disposal of biomedical materials, and maintaining adequate ventilation and lighting. Other responsibilities may include reception duties, administrative and clerical support, and assistance with patient procedures. Greets and registers patients, completes forms, collects and enters patient demographic and billing information, prepares charts, reviews fee slips, maintains office filing system, updates electronic medical records as appropriate and collects payments in accordance with cash handling policies and procedures.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Non Degree Program graduate from an accredited LPN program Required
Experience
1 year experience as a LPN with direct patient care Preferred
Licenses
Basic Life Support Required
PA Practical Nurse License Required
IV Certification Preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday 40/hrs, Day Shifts
