Job Summary
General Description: Under the direction of a Director of Child Development Programs and/or Director of Special Education, perform diverse, non-nursing duties relative to the health of all preschool students; assist in providing instruction to students with special needs including children with orthopedic impairments and medically fragile students; assist in meeting special needs, including feeding, toileting, positioning, and monitoring health conditions in a preschool/ early childhood setting.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: High school graduation or the equivalent GED supplemented by two (2) years of college-level coursework or an Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, including twelve (12) units of early childhood education (ECE) or child development (CD) coursework that includes core courses (child/human growth and development; child/family/community relations; and programs/curriculum). Experience: Two (2) years of experience working with children with special needs. Required Documents:
- Copy of Transcript (Proof of Education - (HS or GED Equivalent), College Transcript, and or diploma etc)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (At least 1 letter of recommendation. Three preferred.)
