Early Childhood Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic educational environment. This role involves designing engaging curriculum, fostering social-emotional growth, and supporting the developmental needs of children from toddler age through preschool. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong understanding of childhood development to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom where every child can thrive.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s social-emotional well-being.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor each child's progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and specialists to support children with special education needs and early intervention programs.
• Manage classroom activities efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions, effective classroom management, and adherence to childcare standards.
• Incorporate early childhood education best practices to foster curiosity, independence, and a love for learning among young children.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, preschool experience, and innovative teaching techniques such as Montessori or other educational philosophies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Montessori certification is a plus.
• Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings with classroom experience in early childhood education.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management strategies.
• Experience with children who have special education needs or require early intervention support.
• Skilled in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and specialists.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and child welfare standards.
• Ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering an inclusive environment for diverse learners.
• Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children in various educational settings such as daycare or private schools is highly desirable. Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
