What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at TEMPLE AHAVAT SHALOM?
We are seeking a diligent and reliable part-time custodian to join our team for at least 20 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours on occasion. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities, ensuring they remain welcoming and serene for all who visit.
Your responsibilities will include performing routine cleaning tasks, assisting in the setup of events and ceremonies, ensuring equipment and supplies are properly stored, and identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in custodial work, strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, with flexibility to adjust their schedule as needed to accommodate event needs.
After a 90-day probationary period, this position offers 6 paid holidays annually, paid sick time prorated based on average number of hours. After one year of continuous service, this position offers paid time off, prorated based on average hours worked.
