Roofing Service Technician Job Description
Some Roofing experience is required as we believe in hiring talented individuals and training them for success in the commercial roofing industry. All expenses are paid (travel, company vehicle, equipment, etc.). Roofing Service Technicians have the opportunity to excel in their career with a fast-growing, national company.
Service Technician’s Job Responsibilities:
- Performing service calls, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with job specifications and safety requirements including small repairs of low-sloped roof systems such as TPO, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, EPDM, and grease containment
- Ensuring quality craftsmanship and articulate communication with clients
- Completing all reporting documents via tablet and/or smartphone
- Making recommendations to RoofingSource’s management for constant improvement of internal processes
Job Requirements:
- Possessing a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Hybrid element, traveling will be required Monday - Friday every week
- Utilizing basic hand and power tools and reading a tape measure is not required but definitely a plus
- Communicating articulately (written and oral)
- Working effectively with technology (i.e., smartphone and/or tablets)
- Performing essential roofing job activities: heavy lifting (50 lbs), twisting, bending, use of both hands and arms, kneeling, squatting, standing and/or walking for long periods, and climbing ladders and/or scaffolding
- Working in the heat and sub-zero weather
- Focus Areas:
- Ensure candidates are equipped to handle F DOT inspections and repairs.
- Prioritize pre-approved repairs to maximize cash flow from existing contracts.
- Provide service support for current large scale clients and other emerging repair needs.
