Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing food service to the residents of Cornerstone Management Communities in a positive and friendly manner. Services may include – related services, set-up and clean-up of dining room, food preparation, serving food, and dishwashing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating meals according to menu and standards.
- Support safe food handling practices, including hygiene, temperature control, and food storage.
- Set up dining room, serve meals, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining experience for residents.
- Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of dishware, kitchen tools, and dining areas.
- Follow cleaning protocols and assist with waste disposal and recycling.
- Communicate with residents and respond to dining requests with care and professionalism.
- Support the mission and values of Cornerstone Management Communities.
Qualifications:
- High School education/GED or previous work experience.

Experience in working with older adults.
- Possess a sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly.
- Prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
- Possess skills to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and other customers.
- Possess the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and documentation, including medical terminology, in English.
- Be punctual with a good attendance record.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Understand how to use, carry and be responsible for the cell phone while on duty.
