What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Inspector position at Tempel?
Primary Functions
- Reads blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions
- Measures dimensions such as length, height, and distance, between reference points to ensure product meets specifications
- Reports findings to the Foreman or Inspection Supervisor, Quality Assurance
- Inspects first run parts
- Sets-up and tries out inspection equipment to ensure accuracy
- Tests hardness of workpiece surface
- Performs other duties as assigned
