Circle of Nations Pathway Program Liaison

Position Summary
The Pathway Program Liaison supports students and their families in navigating high school, postsecondary, and career pathways. This position combines traditional school counseling duties, along with supervision and management of the Momentum Rooma dedicated academic space for credit recovery, dual enrollment, and college course access.
Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm (40 hours per week)
This position is Governing Board approved to work twelve months to meet program needs during the district's scheduled fall, spring, winter, and summer breaks. This position will be required to flex their schedule to accommodate evening programs and work events outside of the position's scheduled work hours and days.

- The program liaison works closely with community partners and postsecondary institutions to ensure students are equipped for success beyond high school.

Essential Functions
- Assists administration in student attendance and participation in the Circle of Nations Pathway Program.
- Organize student participation in college fairs, campus visits, and summer enrichment programs
- Coordinate parent and student events related to post-secondary awareness, access, planning, presentations, and engagement, (e.g. financial aid nights, scholarship workshops, college, university, and technical schools' representatives) college, career, military, and technical training opportunities.
- Support scholarship application processes and ensure equitable access to opportunities.
- Monitor and track student progress toward graduation, providing timely interventions as needed.
- Encourage goal setting and self-advocacy skills among students.
- Work with the counseling department to build and maintain student schedules that align with graduation requirements and include relevant coursework.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide academic support, tutoring, and personalized learning plans.
- Maintain accurate records, data, and reports for program evaluation.
- Serve as primary contact for families and students regarding academic planning and program resource.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, local organizations, and other partners to support student success.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of students into the Pathway Program.
- Counsel students for the purpose of registering them, keeping them enrolled, and successfully participating in a high school setting.
- Collaborate with Pathway Program staff, site leadership, and district teams to align services with program goals
- Ensuring a positive, structured environment for students recovering credits and/or pursuing dual enrollment or college-level coursework in the Momentum Room.
- Facilitate events, mentorship opportunities, and resource connections that enhance the program.
- Participate in professional development related to counseling, academic planning, and student support.
- Conducts home visits with students, parents/guardians.
- Promotes cultural sensitivity and appreciation of students from diverse cultural backgrounds and their unique educational/cultural needs among District personnel.
- Contacts targeted students regularly, providing ongoing support and assistance as needed.
- Provides information regarding resources or programs in the school or community that may assist the student in being successful in school.
- Advises students regarding post-secondary opportunities and available scholarships.
- Provides supervisor with periodic written reports regarding activities.
- Provides/gathers information from the community that will assist the school in better meeting the needs of the students and/or their parents/guardians.
- Performs any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Experience working with students in academic and career planning preferred.
- Familiarity with credit recovery, dual enrollment, and postsecondary planning processes.
- Training or experience in trauma-informed educational practices preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish or another language preferred.
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Sensitivity and commitment to the needs and concerns of ethnically diverse students.
- Works as part of an inter-school team involved in developing action plans. to be carried out with others.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise academic environments and facilitate both individual and group support.
- Knowledge of postsecondary pathways, scholarship processes, and academic planning tools.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking, and occasional lifting.
