Our campus is growing and we are hoping to add 4 more Certified Caregivers to our Team! Our community has a 35 bed assisted living and a 30 bed secure memory care. WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS: First shift (6am-2pm) FULL TIME / PART TIME Evening shift (2pm-10pm) FULL TIME / PART TIME SUMMARY: Administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of the Wellness Director by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Administers prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations in accordance with company policy and procedure. Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on resident’s chart. Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication. Takes vital signs or observes resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions. Assist with patient care. Reports to charge nurse and documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered. Receives supply of ordered medications for administration to resident. Records and restocks medication inventories. Counts narcotics at the beginning and end of shift and records on appropriate forms. Notifies Wellness Director immediately of any discrepancies. Gives and/or assist in direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding residents, and assisting in examinations and treatments as applicable. Assist during mealtimes with tray passing, picking up trays and feeding as applicable. Responds to call lights in a timely manner. Monitors for effectiveness of PRN medications and reports and documents outcomes to Wellness Director. Provide assistance to Wellness Director with the cleanliness of the nursing station, medication room and supply room. Reports to Wellness Director/Administrator incidents/accidents, and alleged abuse incidences. Understands and adheres to the guidelines of “Residents Rights”. Attends periodic in-services, staff meetings, and ALL STAFF Meeting on the 23rd of every month. QUALIFICATONS Must be state certified Team Player Willing to learn Flexible Schedule Patient Care Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff respectfully Ability to read and write English Wear scrubs Ability to use EMR: (PCC) Point Click Care Willing to accept feedback and take ownership of assigned duties during your shift EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Preferred one (1) year of previous health care experience.
