Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Our HVAC Commercial Service Technicians service, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial settings. We are searching for individuals well-versed in customer service that have the ability to provide our customers great quality and service by diagnosing issues and troubleshooting. Job consists of situations that can be physically demanding.

Essential Duties:

• Services, maintains and repairs heating and air conditioning related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Recommends, develops, or performs preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, or changing filters; advise others on issues related to repairs, installation, or equipment design.
• Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in commercial heating and air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
• Repairs or services ventilating, air conditioning & heating systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiring; services systems or components; repairs or replaces worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
• Inspects and tests systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions; inspect systems to determine if they are operating properly.
• Adjusts system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to balance system; adjusts equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Properly completes all paperwork required for each job.
• Operates company vehicle; maintains cleanliness of assigned company vehicle.

Competencies:

· Ability to service chillers: air-water & water-water

· Ability to service hot water boiler systems

· Ability to service VAV systems

· Ability to service and understand building automation & control systems

· Ability to service VRF systems

· Ability to service packaged units & split systems

· Ability to service pumps

· Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, plans and schematics.

· Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.

· Knowledge of company practices, procedures, machines, and equipment.

· Ability to comprehend and apply complex information.

· Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

· Ability to interface professionally with customers.

· Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

• Trade School degree or certificate preferred
• High School diploma
• Minimum 6 Years of experience in HVAC/R installation and/or service
• EPA Certification
• Must possess a clean & valid Pennsylvania driver's license
