Security Monitor operator

Job Description:Onsite security console operators positions that pay $18.00/hour for day shift, with a 3.5% shift differential for evening shifts, and a 10% for overnight shifts. The managers look for candidates who have some experience as security guards, at corporate offices for example, a high school diploma or equivalent, and who are looking to grow their career. They’re always interested in veterans also.  There are multiple locations, primarily in our Edgewood, NY site, Newark, NJ, and South Windsor, CT sites. The benefits include health coverage options, a 401k with a company match, and 3 weeks of PTO per year. There’s also an annual bonus, and typically a 3% pay increase each year. We are seeking a Physical Security Console Operator to join the dynamic team in our production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the following: the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, the access control system, security records, key control, ID/access badge issue, physical security of the site, equipment dispatch accountability, electronic inventory accountability, and safety inspections. Do you have experience in physical security monitoring? This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a the South Windsor CT location where you will work 100% of the time.Responsibilities:Overseeing the physical security of the site in regards to protection of assets and personnelSupervising and controlling personnel access into the facilityMonitoring and reporting the following: event alarms triggered on the access control system and or Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, ID/access badge issues, physical security of the site, and the historical log bookResponding to, evaluating, and resolving any event alarms received at the console monitoring stationConducting roving patrol inspections of the facilities, both external and internal, and notifying the proper authority of any issues found, including procedural breaches in security policiesKeeping the Security Management Team informed of all security matters and issues as they pertain to the site and performing additional duties as directedMust be able to work from 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Wednesday - Sunday, with occasional overtime.
