Responsibilities will include:
- Install, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and specialty machinery.
- Use hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts safely and efficiently.
- Perform welding and cutting torch work as needed.
- Complete general repairs to plant structures and support equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
- Diagnose malfunctioning machinery, identify repair needs, and coordinate approval with maintenance leadership when required.
- Replace faulty parts, electrical wiring, motors, controls, and circuit boards.
- Install equipment and electrical components, then test systems to confirm proper performance.
- Disassemble equipment to access defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Lubricate, clean, and service parts and equipment to support reliable operation.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
- Technical or vocational training is a plus, or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience.
- Ability to read instructions, operating manuals, schematics, and technical documents and follow detailed procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, and plant equipment maintenance; PLC troubleshooting and welding experience are a plus.
- Ability to lift tools, machinery parts, and other materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to frequently bend, crouch, push, pull, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Comfort working in conditions that may include heat, cold, noise, dust, and dirt.
