ABOUT THE ROLE:
TempExperts is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for a three-week, full-time assignment for a Palm Harbor firm, this is an immediate need. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in litigation procedures, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent document management abilities, and experience supporting attorneys through all stages of litigation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage trial calendars, discovery deadlines, and schedule motions, mediations, and depositions.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, witnesses, experts, and legal service vendors.
• Prepare and file pleadings through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal; PACER experience is a plus.
• Review legal documents, manage productions, summarize materials, and draft various pleadings.
• Assist attorneys with preparation for mediations, trials, and depositions.
• Organize physical and electronic case files, coordinate document productions, and maintain document databases.
• Conduct legal research as well as document and factual investigations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of Florida state court rules and procedures.
• Expertise in electronic filing (Florida ePortal and Federal systems).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Clio software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management abilities.
• High attention to detail with a proactive, self-directed work style.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
