Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing plumbing estimates for commercial construction projects under the guidance of senior estimators.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for plumbing systems, including piping fixtures, and equipment.
- Support bid closeout processes by reviewing documents, validating costs, and ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with senior estimators, sales, and engineering teams to refine budgets during project design and development.
- Learn and apply Temp-Con's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and estimating templates.
- Participate in bid reviews, trade partner outreach, and vendor pricing exercises.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in estimate submissions, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency in estimating processes.

Minimum Requirements:
- 1-3 years of plumbing or mechanical estimating experience or equivalent education (construction management, engineering, or related field).
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems and materials (fixtures, piping, equipment).
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn estimating platforms.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- A positive, eager-to-learn mindset with integrity and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or SaaS estimating platforms.
- Internship, co-op, or field experience in plumbing/HVAC construction.
- Familiarity with FastPipe or similar estimating software.
- Interest in pursuing plumbing trade licensing or continuing education in construction estimating.
Work Environment/Expectations:
This role is primarily office-based, with some site visits as needed. You will work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and field leaders.
