This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Temecula CA. We are located in Southern California’s beautiful wine country, Temecula is known for its welcoming community, scenic rolling hills, and award-winning wineries. Why do we need you?

To perform in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related to tend laundering machines to clean articles such as wearing apparel, sheets, blankets, and other linens used by the hotel and guests. thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.

What you will do:

• Operate washing and drying equipment / machinery
• Loads articles into washer and ads specific amount if detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
• Turn valve to fill washer with water.
• Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
• Sorts dried articles according to identification number or type.
• Folds and places item in appropriate storage bin.
• Lubricates machine, using grease gun and oilcan.
• May dissolve soap granules in hot water and steam to make liquid soap.
• May mend torn articles using needle and thread.
• May sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists.
• May soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solutions in vat to precondition washing.
• May mix dyes and bleaches according to formula, and dye and bleach specified articles.
• All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Skills and abilities you bring:

• Pay attention to safety rules when working around machinery.
• Adjust to doing the same thing over and over.
• Move or lift heavy objects.
• Following instructions.

This position requires a hands-on approach (move, lift, carry, and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds; or push and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance). You will be on your feet and moving with purpose (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time).

Schedule & Hours:

This position is Full-Time and the role follows a rotating schedule (Monday-Sunday) usually working 3:00PM-11:30PM. The ability to work any scheduled day of the week and time of day, including holidays, based on business needs is required.
