What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Experience Manager position at Tembo CPAs, LLC?
Tembo CPAs is fully focused on helping entrepreneurs be successful. We do this through traditional CPA firm services (tax, accounting, bookkeeping, etc.) but also through value-added services that we’ve found have tremendously benefited our clients over the past 20 years.
In order to fully deliver on our mission, we need a fantastic Client Experience Manager. While there are many important tasks that the CEM would be responsible for, the tasks fall into three main areas:
- Client interaction and coordination
- Client project management
- Client and firm data management
We are not your ordinary CPA firm. We are a close-knit group who have worked together for ten years – a family. Even though many of us are hybrid, we communicate constantly throughout the day with each other and leverage technology to stay connected. Our firm values are:
- Be kind
- Be gracious
- Have fun
- Learn
- Innovate
- Deliver
We are seeking an individual who appreciates these values and personally is a unique blend of:
- Strong communication skills (email, slack, text, phone)
- App-centric – loves discovering new apps and figuring out how to use them to create efficiency
- Borderline obsessive when it comes to data, processes, calendaring, lists
- Balancing and managing multiple projects at once
- Loves something new every day
- Loves serving others – clients and other team members
- Fun loving, kind, joyful, generous, no-drama, team player
The position benefits and expectations:
- Compensation – Salary of $40,000 - $50,000, depending on how perfect the fit is.
- Benefits – health insurance, dental insurance, 401K Matching, liberal days off and PTO
- More benefits – this is a remote position; we are very flexible with work hours
- Expectations – we are not going to micromanage anyone. You either want to be part of this team, or you don’t. If you want to be part of the team, then you handle your responsibilities, make clients happy, and help make the rest of the Tembo Team successful.
Do we still have your attention? Ok, this is what is really entailed in this position:
- Project Management for all of our client projects. Know the status, help move forward, make sure deadlines are achieved, coordinate client information and meetings, assist project preparers, communicate with clients.
- Be the glue in the middle of our team. You will know what everyone is working on, who is behind, who is ahead, who needs help, who can provide help, etc. The central nervous system of Tembo.
- Database management & integration
- Keep all client contact databases updated, connected, and correctly populated
- Develop & maintain forms
- Become an expert at all our software platforms. Research and identify new applications that can help the Tembo Team be more efficient, communicate better internally and externally, and serve clients better
- Client Service
- Know all clients and really provide white glove service – get to know them personally too – be invested in and enhance the relationship
- Tax return delivery – again, white glove! Last point of contact with Tembo on this project and we want clients to feel loved!
