What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Setup Machinist position at TEM, Inc.?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive instructions verbally and in writing from supervision; to include job orders, prints, sketches and manufacturing instructions.
- Set up and operate various CNC machine tools according to above instructions and using acquired skills in machining technology.
- Load or unload machine by hand, by operating traveling crane or hoist, or by hooking for slinging the piece.
- Set up jigs and holding fixtures.
- Check work for proper dimensions and tolerances by using gauges, calipers, etc., and document on machine data sheet.
- Perform regular operator maintenance on machine tools and other equipment, including wiping, oiling, cleaning and minor adjustment.
- Keep immediate work area clean and orderly.
- Obey all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform required paperwork and record keeping.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
Tools and Equipment
- Vertical and horizontal machines, lathes, , measuring instruments, personal hand tools, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.38 per hour
