The Telos cook provides well-balanced, healthy meals as directed by the dietician and the nursing
director. The weekend cook is responsible to provide satisfying, healthy meals for up to 100 students
and staff members.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Adheres to safe-food handling and storage procedures
- Provides special dietary needs as ordered by the MD, dietician, and nursing director
- Offers students a variety and adequate amount of food to meet their dietary needs
- Serves meals in a timely manner adhering to the Telos schedule
- Helps to prepare extra-large meals for Family Days—five times per year
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment
- Completes other assignments as given by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Organized, Dependable, Coachable, Proactive
- Knowledge of basic nutrition
- Must complete Direct Care Training
- Current food-handler’s permit
- Ability to create and prepare weekly meals
- Ability to hold appropriate boundaries
- Reliable and dependable
- Pass a criminal background check
