Job Description

• Project Start/End Date: 10/13 – 10/16
• Duration: Three years, with State's discretion to extend.
• Scope of work (Responsibilities):
– Active Directory management and support
– Agency enterprise backup systems management and support
– Enterprise storage and storage management
– Server operating systems, including virtualization
– Agency e-mail support
– Server software and hardware patch management
– Routine daily server software and hardware support
– Technical assistance in the event of a system crisis
– Assistance in maintaining adequate documentation of the server environment
– Assisting the server manager in all areas of Data Center support and server management
– Providing knowledge transfer to technical staff
• Minimum Requirements
– Years: Systems, server, and network administration, management, and support
– Years: Microsoft Windows
– Years: Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization technology
– Years: Microsoft Exchange, with at least 1 year at 2003 level
– Years: Years: Microsoft Active Directory
– Years: E-mail archiving technology
– Years: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, including the former SMS
– Years: Backup and recovery management and principles
– Years: Symantec Backup Exec backup and recovery management and principles
– Year: Unitrends backup and recovery management and principles
– Years: iSCSI Storage and Storage Area Network (SAN)
– Years: Standalone storage arrays, DAS, and NAS
– Years: HP Blade Enclosure management and configuration, including understanding of all internal chassis components
– Years: Server hardware, with focus on HP/Compaq Proliant Series servers
– Years: Data Center operations, including environmental, power, rack management, KVM, and monitoring
– Years: McAfee System Security, including anti-virus software using e-Policy Orchestrator
– Years: Understanding of physical Access Control basic fundamentals
