A Level Role Summary

The Master Service Technician (A Level / A Level) serves as a lead diagnostic and repair specialist, responsible for solving complex, high-level automotive issues across all major vehicle systems, including advanced engine performance, intricate electrical diagnostics, transmission, heating and air conditioning, and safety/ADAS systems. Utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and digital vehicle inspection (DVI) tools, you will perform high-precision repairs, mentor junior technicians (B and C Level), and collaborate closely with service advisors to deliver exceptional technical accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics: Perform high-level electrical and mechanical diagnostics using advanced tools, including lab-scopes and pressure transducer testing.
• Complex Mechanical Repairs: Complete major assembly replacements (engine/transmission swaps), timing belt services, suspension, and brake system overhauls.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior technicians and foster a high-energy, collaborative shop environment.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain exceptional quality standards to ensure first-time fix rates and long-term customer trust.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 6–10 years of professional shop experience as a top-tier diagnostician or master technician.
• Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in engine/transmission replacements, advanced electrical troubleshooting, and complex drivability diagnostics.
• Vehicle Versatility: Proficient across Domestic, Import, Hybrid, and Electric Vehicle (EV) platforms.
• Certifications: ASE Certifications preferred (we cover prep tools and provide pay increases for passed tests).
• Requirements: Valid Driver's License and a commitment to continuous technical education.

Experience

• A level Mechanic: 6 years (Required)
• Automotive diagnostics: 6 years (Required)
• Engines/Transmissions: 6 years (Preferred)

License/Certification

• Driver's License (Required)
• ASE Certifications (Preferred)
• State Vehicle Inspector License Safety and Emissions– (Required)
• Refrigerant Recovery Certification (ASE or MACA) – (Preferred)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Proficiency with scan tools and shop equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs consistently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and use of hand and power tools

B Level Role Summary

The Service Technician (B / B Level) plays a vital role in executing high-quality, safe, and efficient repairs across a wide range of vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs. Utilizing modern digital vehicle inspection (DVI) tools and advanced scan equipment, you will diagnose issues, perform vital repairs, and collaborate closely with service advisors to keep our customers safe on the road.

• Target Earnings: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
• Signing Incentive: Sign-on bonuses available for qualified candidates
• Our Guarantee: A guaranteed 30-hour work week at your base hourly rate, Monday through Friday
• High Volume, High Earnings: Our shop is busy! Techs here average 50–60 Booking Hours weekly. You’ll receive your guaranteed base pay PLUS an additional hourly "bump" for all production hours, allowing for uncapped earning potential

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Vehicle Inspections: Perform thorough digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) and clearly document findings using shop management software.
• Diagnostics & Mechanical Repairs: Accurately troubleshoot and perform repairs on:
• Steering and brake systems
• HVAC systems and engine cooling components
• Engine performance and drivability issues
• Maintenance Services: Execute fluid flushes (coolant, brake, power steering, transmission) and routine preventive maintenance.
• Safety & Emissions: Conduct state safety and emissions inspections.
• Under-Car & Wheel Service: Perform precise wheel alignments, tire pressure checks, and tire rotations.
• Workflow & Collaboration: Maintain strong communication with service advisors and shop management to maintain smooth workflow and high first-time fix rates.
• Safety & Standards: Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Licensing & Mandatory Credentials:
• Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Active State Vehicle Inspector License.
• Key Skills: Strong mechanical ability, proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and shop machinery, efficient time management, and a strong collaborative mindset.

Preferred Certifications

• EPA 609 / Refrigerant Recovery Certification (ASE or MACA)
• ASE Certifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. consistently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
• Extensive daily hand and power tool operation.
