What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Business Development position at Telgian Corporation?
If you are looking for a place to put your leadership skills to the test with a growing company leader, this is the job for you! As our VP, Business Development, you will report directly to the Division President, and work to foster business success for the
organization. You will be a key member of Telgian Engineering and Consulting, leading the charge on negotiating and closing business relationships. This is a strong team/collaborative environment and you will work closely with our business development managers and marketing coordinators.
Your Opportunity
As our VP of Business Development you will lead the team on a broad range of projects. Travel will be required. More specifically you will:
· Develop networks towards sourcing for new clients
· Attract and retain new clients through creative outreach strategies
· Work independently on customers’ needs
· Identify and develop resources relevant to business development and sales goals
· Drive weekly/monthly/yearly sales goals
· Liaise with members of staff to ensure exceptional customer service is met from initial contact, follow up and delivery
· Work to enhance operational procedures for the organization to increase efficiency and revenue
· Manage sales staff members to ensure they outperform sales and marketing goals for the department (on an as-needed basis)
· Prepare, attend and support team at industry trade shows and events
· Other duties as needed by executive team

Your Qualifications
· 10 years proven sales experience
· 5 years management experience
· Prior experience in Fire Protection Engineering
· 4-year Engineering Degree required
· MBA / Master’s Degree preferred
