POSITION SUMMARY
Telford Aviation, Inc. an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an Aviation Parts Purchaser / Logistics Technician who will be responsible for the procurement, expediting, receiving coordination, inventory control, repair-cycle management, documentation, and logistical support of aircraft parts, components, consumables, tooling, and maintenance materials required to support Beechcraft King Air 300/350-series aircraft.
The successful candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of aviation parts procurement and logistics and demonstrate the ability to support high-utilization aircraft operating in a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), government, military, special-mission, or ISR environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. King Air Parts Procurement
· Procure aircraft parts, components, consumables, hardware, tooling, and maintenance materials required to support Beechcraft King Air 300/350-series aircraft.
· Source material through Textron Aviation/Beechcraft, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Collins Aerospace, Hartzell, McCauley, approved distributors, FAA-certificated repair stations, and other approved aviation suppliers, as applicable.
· Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations based on price, availability, lead time, material condition, certification, warranty, and transportation requirements.
· Generate and administer purchase orders in accordance with company procedures and contractual requirements.
· Verify part numbers, alternate and superseded part numbers, quantities, applicability, aircraft effectivity, and required material condition prior to procurement.
· Coordinate procurement priorities with maintenance personnel based upon scheduled inspections, discrepancies, aircraft availability, and operational requirements.
· Maintain continuous visibility of open purchase orders, backorders, critical shortages, and expected delivery dates.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant Aviation Purchasing, Supply or Logistics experience.
- Pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug test.
- U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret Security Clearance preferred. Security Clearance may be required after hire.
- Be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Be willing to work shift work.
