Role Description The Director of Sales – Data Centers is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenville, SC. This role is responsible for leading data center sales initiatives, including identifying new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline, and closing strategic deals with enterprise and carrier customers. The director will develop and execute sales strategies for data center solutions, manage key accounts, and partner with internal technical and operations teams to ensure proposals and solutions meet client requirements. Day-to-day activities include forecasting and reporting on sales performance, overseeing sales operations processes, optimizing pricing and contracts, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role will also involve mentoring and managing a sales team, setting performance goals, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive sales culture aligned with company objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven ability in Sales and Sales Operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, contract negotiation, and closing complex data center or telecom deals.
- Strong skills in Business Development, including market analysis, prospecting, and developing strategic partnerships in the data center, cloud, or network services space.
- Demonstrated experience in Customer Service, with a focus on long-term client relationships, account management, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Team Management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales team, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of data center, cloud, and/or network infrastructure solutions; experience in telecom, 5G, or related technology industries is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Greenville, SC, travel to client locations as needed, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree is a plus.
