Oracle BRM Architect

Overview

TeleWorld Solutions is seeking an Oracle BRM Architect to join our team! As we expand our BSS/monetization practice, we’re hiring an Oracle BRM Architect to lead complex billing and charging transformations for 4G/5G, fixed, and converged services.

 

You will be the technical owner for Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) programs—defining target architectures, leading solution design across BRM/ECE/PDC, integrating with upstream CRM/ordering and downstream finance/RA systems, and guiding delivery teams through build, migration, and go-live. You’ll partner closely with client architects, TWS engineering, and vendor teams to enable high-scale, real-time charging and modern billing for new products (B2C, B2B, IoT/B2B2X).

Responsibilities

Architecture & Roadmap

• Define target-state architectures for BRM 12.x, ECE (real-time charging grid), and PDC (pricing/catalog), including HA/DR, capacity, and performance models.
• Create HLD/LLD, integration patterns, data models, and API specifications for multi-channel ordering, mediation, and collections.
• Lead on-prem to OCI/AWS/Azure modernization strategies (containerization, infrastructure-as-code, observability).

Monetization & Catalog

• Design product/catalog models in PDC (bundles, discounts, tiered/usage/event charging, recurring/one-time fees).
• Establish rating rules and balance impacts for online/offline scenarios; define discounting, promotions, and revenue recognition policies.

Integration

• Integrate BRM with mediation (e.g., Kafka-based or COTS), CRM/CPQ (Siebel/other), Order Management/OSM, Policy (PCRF/PCF), Provisioning, and ERP/GL (Oracle E-Business Suite / Oracle Cloud ERP / SAP).
• Implement payment gateways (e.g., CyberSource), taxation (Vertex/Avalara), dunning/collections, and invoice rendering.
• Define and govern REST/SOAP services, batch interfaces, CDR ingestion, and data reconciliation pipelines.
• Delivery Leadership
• Provide hands-on guidance to developers/DBAs on BRM PCM/DM configuration, pricing, pipelines, and customizations.
• Establish CI/CD, test automation (rating/functional/perf), data migration, and cutover runbooks.
• Run design reviews, resolve defects at root cause, and mentor project teams and client SMEs.

Quality, Security & Compliance

• Enforce billing controls, revenue assurance checkpoints, and GL reconciliation.
• Ensure PCI-DSS, SOX, and data privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA); define audit trails and logging/monitoring standards.
• Own NFRs for latency, throughput throughput, and availability; tune ECE grid and BRM performance

Qualifications

• 8 years implementing Oracle Communications BRM, including at least 3 years as an Architect leading end-to-end solution design.
• Deep expertise with BRM 12.x, ECE (Elastic Charging Engine), and PDC (Pricing Design Center)—architecture, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Strong integration background: mediation/CDR flows, upstream CRM/ordering/CPQ, downstream ERP/GL, payments, tax, and RA.
• Hands-on knowledge of BRM components (PCM, Data Manager, pipeline rating, invoicing, GL mapping, discounts/balances, account hierarchy).
• Demonstrated success in telecom charging/billing for mobile, fixed, IoT/B2B2X, and converged service portfolios.
• Proficiency with SQL/PL-SQL, Linux, scripting (bash/Python), CI/CD (Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps), and container/orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience delivering against strict NFRs and operating models (SLA/OLA), with strong troubleshooting and performance diagnostics.
• Excellent stakeholder communication; able to lead workshops, produce HLD/LLD, and defend design decisions.

Nice to Have

• Cloud: OCI (preferred), AWS/Azure; Terraform/Ansible; secrets management; observability (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK or OCI Logging).
• Data/Streaming: Kafka, Spark/Databricks for mediation and billing analytics.
• Ecosystem: Oracle OSM/UIM, Siebel/CPQ, MuleSoft/Camel, revenue recognition tools, downstream data lakes.
• Standards & Domain: Strong grasp of telecom charging concepts (online/offline), event models, and 5G/4G monetization patterns; policy interactions (PCF/PCRF).
• Prior consulting experience with Tier-1 operators or MVNOs; experience leading multi-country rollouts.
