TeleSolv Consulting is seeking a professional and highly organized Protocol Specialist to provide executive administrative, protocol, and event coordination support in Washington, DC.
This position supports the federal government, and all applicants must be local to the Washington, DC area.
The Protocol Specialist plays a vital role in supporting senior Government leadership by coordinating high-visibility engagements, executive administrative functions, official meetings, ceremonies, conferences, travel, and visitor logistics. This role requires exceptional professionalism, discretion, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, on-site Government environment.
This position supports Government aviation leadership operations by ensuring executive schedules, correspondence, records, action items, reports, protocol activities, and stakeholder coordination are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with federal administrative, security, and contract requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute official meetings, ceremonies, conferences, VIP visits, and other high-visibility engagements.
- Manage executive calendars, schedules, travel arrangements, visitor logistics, and related coordination requirements.
- Prepare briefings, reports, correspondence, presentations, and other leadership materials.
- Provide direct executive-level administrative support to senior Government personnel.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and internal and external stakeholders.
- Track and manage action items, suspense dates, deliverables, and follow-up requirements.
- Maintain records, files, documentation, and correspondence in accordance with federal requirements.
- Support procurement tracking, logistics coordination, and general office operations as required.
- Submit accurate and timely daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal protocol standards, administrative procedures, security requirements, and contract requirements.
- Support standard Government business hours with occasional event-related support as needed.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience providing administrative, executive support, protocol, or coordination services.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior-level leadership in a government, military, or corporate executive environment.
- Experience coordinating meetings, events, official ceremonies, VIP visits, or high-level engagements.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, judgment, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site and interact directly with Government stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation and/or clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CAC and facility access.
- Must comply with all federal security, training, and access requirements.
- Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard, DHS, DoD, or other federal agencies is highly desirable.
- One year of experience using Aviation Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS) and Asset Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with federal or military protocol standards and executive-level operations is highly desirable.
- Experience with records management and federal documentation requirements is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting logistics, procurement tracking, or administrative operations is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a contract support environment with reporting requirements is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of government systems, correspondence formats, and workflow processes is highly desirable.

Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
