TeleSolv Consulting has an immediate opportunity to work with the Federal Government as a Federal Acquisition Specialist for one of our clients.
This is an ONSITE position with multiple vacancies based in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide full cradle-to-grave Contract Specialist support for federal acquisitions.
- Independently prepare, review, and process acquisition documents, including acquisition plans, solicitations, awards, modifications, and justifications.
- Interpret and apply the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific procurement policies.
- Support procurements using FAR Parts 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16, including BPAs and IDIQ vehicles.
- Utilize government contract-writing systems (e.g., PRISM) and procurement databases (e.g., FPDS, SAM.gov).
- Prepare briefing materials and route acquisition packages through required approval channels.
- Maintain strict adherence to Operational Security (OPSEC) requirements.
- Review and analyze spreadsheets, pricing data, and acquisition documentation.
- Coordinate with program offices, legal counsel, and contracting officers to ensure timely and compliant outcomes.
- FAC-C (Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting) or DAWIA certification.
- Continuing education in federal acquisition, ethics, or procurement law.
- Training in OPSEC, procurement integrity, or acquisition compliance.
- Expert understanding of federal acquisition lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills suited to audit-ready environments.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in deadline-driven settings.
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- 3-6 years of relevant combined years of experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills appropriate for senior government stakeholders.

Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
