Digital Video Editor

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Telepictures Productions is seeking a talented Digital Video Editor with a strong eye for social-first editing and producing to work on the TV show, “Extra.”

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the show’s producers in executing a strategy for daily video content across all social channels.
• Create social-first videos from the show’s content that are engaging and draw in audiences.
• Think with a “producer’s” hat when editing in order to shape the creative direction of our videos and elevate the brand.
• Use both Avid and Premiere to work with show editors and digital editors.
• Pull clips from the TV show and edit in the various social formats, including for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram and the ExtraTV website.
• Utilize After Effects and PhotoShop, or similar programs, as needed to enhance videos.
• Create video montages and edit original footage.
• Upload all clips to YouTube and handle the associated meta data and tagging.
• Responsible for monitoring YouTube metrics closely and analyzing what does and doesn’t work best on the platform to maximize views.

• JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related role or field.
• MUST KNOW both Avid and Premiere.
• Multi-task well and handle editing while also working on other projects and requests. 
• Know YouTube extensively and have prior experience working on the platform. 
• Know how to shoot video and understand basic lighting. 
• Work well in a fast-paced environment, deadline-driven, and work quickly and efficiently.
• Enjoy being part of a team, have a collaborative nature and a sense of humor.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with production crews and talent.
• Must love TV!  

This is a 4-day a week in person position. Fridays will be work from home days. Salary range is $70K-$90K, depending on experience.
