What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Financial Control position at Telefèric Barcelona Restaurant Group?
We are seeking a Head of Financial Control to strengthen financial discipline and operational efficiency across Teleferic’s growing U.S. restaurant portfolio. This role will ensure accuracy in cost management, purchasing, and reporting, while driving accountability and compliance in every unit. Working closely with operations and finance leadership, the position combines analytical rigor, hands-on auditing, and cross-functional collaboration to support Teleferic’s next phase of expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Food Cost & Inventory
Oversee inventory integrity and reconciliation across units (Toast MarketMan). Analyze recipe-level variances and drive corrective actions.
Operational Audits
Coordinate and execute regular audits in restaurants. Identify control gaps, compliance issues, and margin leakages.
Purchasing & OPEX
Validate invoice accuracy, pricing compliance, and vendor master data. Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to detect savings opportunities.
Labor & Cash Control
Analyze labor cost vs. forecast. Audit petty cash and corporate card usage. Ensure timely reconciliations and escalate anomalies.
New Openings
Support new restaurant launches with invoice validation, capex control, and first inventory orders.
Data & BI Accuracy
Ensure clean, reliable data flow across tools. Detect and resolve data integrity issues affecting financial reports.
Training & Compliance Culture
Train GMs, chefs, and managers on purchasing, inventory, and cash-handling protocols. Promote a strong internal control culture across units.
Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality, or a related field. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in restaurant group finance, multi-unit control, or F&B cost management. Internal audit or FP&A background preferred.
Tech Fluency
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools skills. Experience with Toast, MarketMan, Tenzo, SageX3, and 7Shifts is strongly preferred.
Languages
English and Spanish proficiency is a plus.
Mobility
Willingness to visit units frequently, primarily in California and other U.S. markets.
