Job Description
Teledyne Micropac is seeking an experienced assembler who has the ability to perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
What You’ll Do
The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Follow production drawings, procedures and work instructions in detail, understands and applies established workmanship practices for all facets of satellites, medical, defense/aerospace and high reliability industrial applications
- Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
- Must be able to read and follow build instructions, including understanding of process documents, Bill of Materials and assembly drawings and complete paperwork as required.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teammates, quality control and process engineers to ensure product meets strict specifications.
- Attentiveness to details and adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols are essential.
- Assist with training as required.
- Hand assembly of electronics devices using solder, epoxy, and coating specifically under the microscopes.
- Inspect completed work to quality requirements.
- If overtime is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to provide employees with adequate advance notice, however, sometimes overtime may be mandatory
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing assembly or production environment - required
- Possess excellent manual dexterity, manufacturing knowledge - required
- Experience with small parts, small hand tools, equipment, and microscope. - required
- Ability to read and work from engineer drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly - required
- Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and a strong attention to detail with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties - required
- Knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control.) - required
- High School Diploma and basic computer skills - required
