The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support precision machining operations. This role ensures efficient production of high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Job Description
Job Summary:
The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support precision machining operations. This role ensures efficient production of high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining operations using CAD/CAM software.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to optimize cycle times and maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve processes.
- Perform program simulations and verify tool paths to prevent errors and reduce scrap.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and revisions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Support Lean Manufacturing by understanding, analyzing, and streamlining machining process.
- Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming, machining, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Solidworks or similar).
- Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of materials (metals, composites) and machining processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience cutting multiple materials, (Titanium, Stainless, Inconel, Plastics)
- Experience with multi-axis machining and advanced programming techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and shop floor data collection.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
