What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Construction Foreman position at Telecom Construction Services Inc?
Description
- Provide on-site management and leadership to a crew of civil technicians, ensuring all jobs are completed within budget and accurately
- Operate heavy machinery as needed
- Read and understand construction drawings or other blueprints
- Effectively and efficiently complete assigned tasks
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE (personal protection equipment)
- Proficient in concrete placement and finishing methods
- Knowledgeable in electrical installations
- Develop lay out daily plans for execution of each job
- Document job progress in photographs as required for customer deliverables
- Manage and develop employee skills to increase jobsite productivity
- Provide required paperwork and documentation regarding work practices on-site as well as achievement of production milestones
- Manage job timelines, schedules, and subcontractors thoroughly and consistently
- Submit daily progress reports and documentation for each job
- Communicate professionally with customer representatives and others who show up on-site
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Verifiable work experience and references
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb and/or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions
- Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
- Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Should have OSHA 30
