Position Summary:
The Channel Manager (CM) wins, maintains, and expands relationships with partners to sell services through TBI. Primary sales activity will be focused on acquisition of new revenue from the partners and the CM will provide additional support to these partners on an ongoing basis in an effort to develop the business. The CM will also help develop strategic business plans to help drive revenue through the partners. He/she will be responsible for ongoing training and development of partners and will be required to stay current on all emerging technological advances in the marketplace.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Recruits, trains and collaborates with partners to achieve recruitment and sales goals
- Attends functions and recruits new partners on a monthly basis
- Consistently works with partners on business plans and reviews performance quarterly for all selling partners
- Meets with the Director of Sales weekly to review sales metrics, and strategic opportunities for partners to be successful
- Consistently performs at 100% of monthly quota
- Acts as the primary contact for customer escalations
- Provides information for on-going training related to industry trends and vendor offerings
- Reports on progress of each newly recruited partner for quotes and orders
- Attends trainings for new products, services and technology
- Attends TBI sales meetings and training functions
- Travels a minimum of 20% of the time
Job Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant telecommunications sales experience
- Proven track record exceeding revenue quota targets
- Strong relationship building and management skills
