About CARE Court ACT

CARE Court Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is opening in partnership with San Diego County Behavioral Health in response to California’s Community, Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act .

CARE Court ACT will deliver time-limited, community-based, holistic support to people who meet CARE criteria and agree to participate in these services. Our person-centered approach to care meets people wherever they are in their recovery — addressing the complex needs of the individual and connecting them to resources to thrive in their community.

Essentials At A Glance

Program Type : Community-based

To Make Referrals : A referral to CARE Court can be initiated by family members, behavioral health providers, first responders, or other approved petitioners by filing a petition with the Superior Court . Referrals to Telecare CARE ACT are made by the County of San Diego.

of Members Served : 160 members

Who We Serve : All criteria must be met to be eligible for admittance

Aged 18 years and older.

Diagnosed with a schizophrenia spectrum disorder or another psychotic disorder in the same class.

Individuals must be experiencing symptoms that are persistent, interfere with daily life, and may lead to a loss of independence.

Individuals cannot receive voluntary treatment elsewhere.

One of the following must be applicable :

Individual is at risk of safely interacting with the community without supervision, and their condition is deteriorating.

Individuals who need services to prevent relapse or deterioration that would result in disability or serious injury to themselves or others.

Individuals who will likely benefit from ACT treatment plan.

In this Clinical Director mid-level management position and under direct supervision of the Administrator, the Clinical Director provides leadership, coordination, and clinical supervision to multidisciplinary team(s) and / or program(s). Assists Administrator with quality improvement duties.

Shifts Available :

Salaried Position; Monday - Friday; 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm

Expected starting wage range is $100,000.00 - $118,000.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

Current and valid California BBS LCSW, LMFT or LPCC

One (1) year in leadership role in relevant setting (inpatient or outpatient setting, as appropriate)

Two (2) years post-graduate direct clinical experience in a mental health setting

Must have experience working with mental health and substance use consumers, families, and advisory boards

Masters or higher degree in Social Services

Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.

Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.

What You Will Do

Implement and oversee the responsibilities for clinical services and standards of care for our clients, and administrative needs of the multidisciplinary team.

Continually communicate with community partners and all local systems of care that are in service to our clients.

Oversee documentation by clinical staff and perform audits of Clinical Charts to ensure adherence to State and County Requirements.

Assist with New Hire Orientation and ongoing training and mentorship for all clinical staff.

Assist with recruitment, screening, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and terminations of all clinical staff.
