Manufacturing Lead (1st shift)

Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Manufacturing leaders plan, organize, and establish a recommendation for manufacturing strategies. They make sure that products are successfully developed based on the specifications. You will be a key part of our team with elevated responsibility for our manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on position that requires you to have computer and machine knowledge.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (the following in only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties)

• Ensure work procedures are being followed and expedite workflow.
• Issue written and oral instructions.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
• Maintain harmony among workers.
• Assist employees with work process problems.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Work with Manufacturing Manager on continuous improvement projects.
• Trouble shoot errors to eliminate the possibility of occurring again.
• Contribute to the daily output of the department.
• Communication and teamwork within and outside the department.
• Supervise the manufacturing process.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  
  

Education

• High school diploma or GED
  
  

Technical Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of computers, machine setup up, and operating experience
  
  

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• The noise level in the work environment is usually high
• Personal protective equipment is required including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
