(“TIC”), a world leader in the development and design of avionics and communications test equipment for the Commercial and Military aviation industry for over 75 years, has an immediate opportunity for an Electronics Assembler & Wirer at our East Rutherford, NJ location.

Electronics Assembler & Wirer

Tel-Instrument Electronics Corp. is seeking an Electronics Assembler & Wirer with responsibilities to mechanically assemble instrument sub-assemblies, wire instrument sub-assemblies, cables and assemblies using hand tools provided. Solders or otherwise attach components to printed circuit boards. Rework or modify printed circuit board assemblies as well as make mechanical test fixtures as required. This individual will report into the Manufacturing Department.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to work under a Microscope
• Perform minor modifications of metal parts in company machine shop
• Ability to read and understand parts list, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and printed circuit boards
• Familiarity of manufacturing tools and processes
• Knowledge of quality control inspection procedures
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English
• Ability to follow work instructions and duties assigned by Supervisor
• Must be people oriented, patient, and able to work in a team environment
• Availability for scheduled overtime, as needed
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Technical school training or equivalent work experience
• Solder certification, A MUST
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Compensation:

Range is $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
