Job Description
The primary responsibilities for this role:
- Extract high quality RNA and deliver gene characterization (RACE) and associated analysis of data.
- Track all work through LIMS systems.
- Collaborative attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- MS or higher education or 5 years experience in molecular biology.
- Demonstrated ability in RNA extraction and RNA handling, cDNA synthesis, PCR, and next gen sequencing library creation is required.
- Experience with plasmid and primer design and associated software tools
- Familiarity with gene expression biology
- A professional and positive attitude with clear and timely communication and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office programs.
- Experience with NGS analysis & R coding language.
- Familiarity with liquid-handling or higher throughput extraction/data generation.
- Proficiency with note-taking and sample tracking through LIMS systems
